Read on to learn more about Camille in this online interview.
How did you arrive at Valley Animal Center?
After working in both private and corporate practice, I decided I wanted to do something different. I saw that Valley Animal Center was hiring for a Registered Vet Technician and thought working for a nonprofit helping homeless animals sounded very fulfilling.
What has given you the most joy working here?
Being able to directly help with the medical care of the shelter animals, as well as fostering kittens.
Are you team Cat or team Dog?
Team cat. I love dogs as well, but if I must choose, I’m definitely team cat.
How many animals have you adopted since you’ve begun working here?
Three cats (two are foster fails), and one dog.
How do you see yourself in Valley Animal Center’s future?
Someday, I’m gonna run the place.
If you had a magic wand and could wish for one thing for Valley Animal Center, what would you wish for?
A new, acoustically designed dog adoption center. I think it would make the biggest impact overall, benefiting the dogs, the staff/volunteers, and potential adopters.
