I hereby understand and acknowledge that participating in the Valley Animal Center Christmas in the Park event (hereinafter “Christmas in the Park”) may include activities that could be considered hazardous in nature.

I choose to knowingly and voluntarily participate in Christmas in the Park.

In consideration for my voluntary participation in Christmas in the Park, I hereby voluntarily release, waive, and relinquish any and all claims and causes of action of every nature against Valley Animal Center, and its employees, officers, officials, and agents which I may have or which may hereafter accrue to me, my heirs, and my representatives for damages, including but not limited to personal property damage, personal injury, or death arising from my participation in Christmas in the Park, whether the same shall arise by negligence or by any other cause. This voluntary release and waiver shall include any and all claims and causes of action that arise related to my participation in Christmas in the Park. This release is intended to discharge Valley Animal Center, its employees, officers, officials, and agents from and against any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with my participation in Christmas in the Park, even though such liability may arise out of the negligence or carelessness on the part of Valley Animal Center or the persons mentioned above.

I further understand that accidents and injuries, serious bodily injury, and even death, can arise out of Christmas in the Park. Knowing and acknowledging those risks, nevertheless, I hereby agree to assume those risks and to release and to hold harmless Valley Animal Center, its employees, officers, officials, and agents who might otherwise be liable to me, my heirs, or my representatives for damages. I further understand and agree that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on me, my heirs, representatives, and assigns.

I acknowledge I have read this Waiver and Release of Liability and that I have been advised that I may wish to consult an attorney regarding the legal consequences of signing this Waiver and Release of Liability.

By evidence of my checking the Release of Liability box in my registration, I hereby acknowledge that I have fully read, understand and agree to the above provisions.
