NOVEMBER IS ADOPT A SENIOR PET MONTH

At Valley Animal Center, we have many senior cats and dogs waiting to be adopted. This November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month and we ask that you please consider welcoming a senior pet into your loving home.

Adopt a Senior Pet Month
According to our cat care supervisor, Maritza, it may take a long time for seniors to find loving homes because people are generally looking for a young and fun pet to take home.
“There’s a misconception that adopting a senior means adopting a cat with health issues,” Maritza said. “Most of the time, it’s just not true. Some of these cats and dogs will be fine all their lives.”

Did you know that for as little as $10 a month, you can sponsor a shelter dog (or cat)?

Through the Valley Animal Center Sponsor-A-Pet Program, your continuous monthly donation can help provide nutritional food, shelter and quality medical care for one or more of our shelter dogs or cats until they find their furever homes.

Most of our sponsored animals are long-term or special-needs residents and may stay in the shelter for many months or years!

With your monthly tax-deductable donation, you will receive a description of your sponsored dog or cat, a beautiful color photo of your sponsored dog or cat, and our quarterly newsletter.

SIMON IS AVAILABLE TO SPONSOR

Simon says, “Please sponsor me!” Simon is nine years old and was surrendered to us in August after his owner passed away. He’s a very social cat who’ll cuddle and purr with you for days if you’d let him. Simon is missing his tail but that doesn’t bother him one bit. Although he’s not available for adoption just yet, Simon can be sponsored for as little as $10 a month.

Misty1-2

MISTY IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Misty is a 12-year-old chihuahua mix looking for her furever home.

TEAL IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Teal is a beautiful tortoiseshell-colored cat who’s got a mind of her own. She’s seven years old, has been with us since May 2014, and is often overlooked because she’s generally lounging in her own space. Teal is also very selective and would prefer to have a home where there are no other animals. Teal's adoption fee is only $90 and includes spay, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchip ID. To meet Teal, simply complete our adoption application and an animal care associate will respond to you as soon as possible. You may also visit Teal any day from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

SAMMY IS AVAILABLE TO SPONSOR

For being 16 years old, Sammy is still a very active cat who enjoys playing and having fun. Sadly, Sammy was surrendered to us, along with his sister, earlier this year after their owners passed away. A staff favorite, Sammy is available to sponsor. For as little as $10 a month every month, you can help us provide Sammy nutritious food, shelter and quality medical care. You’ll also receive a beautiful color photo of Sammy and a copy of our quarterly newsletter! To sponsor this handsome long-term special-needs resident, simply fill out the form below.

It’s always SHOWTIME for this cutie! Beetlejuice is a 10-year-old flame-point kitty looking for his furever home. Sadly, Beetlejuice arrived at Valley Animal Center after he had been affected by the Creek Fire. He’s doing well under our care, though, and our staff absolutely adores this nook-seeker. Beetlejuice’s adoption fee is $90 and includes neuter, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchip ID.

HAIRY IS AVAILABLE TO SPONSOR
