Valley Animal Center's vision
A calmer future for dogs. A better way to connect.
We envision a Dog Adoption Center where dogs can rest, recover, and show who they truly are, while families have the space and time to find a lasting connection.

Why this matters
A dog's environment shapes their story.
In a traditional kennel, barking travels, dogs can see one another across the room, and quiet rest is hard to find. That stress can make it harder for visitors to see a dog's personality.
Our vision gives dogs a calmer place to settle and families a more comfortable way to meet them, spend time together, and make thoughtful adoption decisions.
The concept
Designed around the dogs and the people who love them.
Quieter spaces
Smaller kennel neighborhoods, angled fronts, and sound-absorbing materials could help reduce noise and visual triggers.
Room to be a dog
Secure outdoor runs, fresh air, and enrichment could give dogs more opportunities to move, rest, and behave naturally.
Meaningful meetings
A welcoming lobby and private indoor and outdoor meet-and-greet spaces could help families get to know each dog.
