Humane Education

Did you know that the Valley Animal Center offers humane education programs in the form of field trips, class visits, and children’s camps to students and community members all over the Central Valley? As a part of our ongoing mission to help the homeless pets in the central valley, Valley Animal Center brings a message of awareness, compassion, and citizenship to your classroom or community group.

We offer classes free of charge to schools and groups across the Central Valley, both at our facility and at the school or group’s location. Classes are based around Valley Animal Center’s core values, practices, and mission statement, and are geared to different age groups from Pre-K through 12th grade.

As field trips and presentations are free of charge and made possible by the generosity of the community, interested classrooms and organizations are encouraged to fundraise or collect supplies from our shelter’s wish list. Offer your group a unique, fun, and educational way to get involved in their community while learning about animals and responsible pet ownership!
