Did You Know Some Pets Wait Over a Year for a Home?
As a no-kill shelter, we never give up on our animals — no matter how long it takes. But long stays mean higher costs.
Take Zelda, a sweet dog who has been with us for 415+ days.
-
Daily enrichment, food, treats, grooming, and medications have already cost over $8,700.
And she’s just one example. Senior dogs like Nala, long-term pups like Carmen, and even cats like Tobias and Tiberius are still waiting for their forever homes.
Caring for them is our promise. But it comes at a price.
Your donation ensures long-term residents like Zelda are cared for until the day their forever families find them.
Did You Know Our PG&E Bill Last Month Was $16,000?
Keeping hundreds of dogs and cats cool during Fresno’s blazing summer heat is one of our biggest challenges. Whether inside our kennels or in our feral cat sanctuary, every animal deserves relief from the heat.
Your donation helps us keep the AC running, fans blowing, and every animal safe from the summer heat.
Did You Know 40 Employees Care for Our Pets Every Day?
From our doctors and RVTs to kennel staff, it takes a full team to keep tails wagging and cats purring. Every day, we:
- Clean kennels and wash endless loads of laundry
- Provide enrichment, playtime, and love
- Deliver essential medical care and medications
Did You Know Dental Care Can Cost Us Thousands Each Year?
Many pets arrive with painful dental issues — broken teeth, infected gums, and abscesses that can threaten their overall health.
-
A single dental procedure averages $650.
-
Multiply that by the number of pets we care for each year, and the costs skyrocket.
Still, we believe every animal deserves relief from pain. That’s why we fund exams, cleanings, extractions, and medications that restore health and comfort.
Your donation helps turn painful mouths into happy smiles.
