Adopt a Shelter Pet Day 2023

As a nonprofit no-kill shelter, we do not receive government funds. We are a community-supported organization dedicated to uniting dogs and cats with loving people throughout the Central Valley and beyond.

Currently, our adoption fees for both dogs and cats do not always cover the cost of preparing them for adoption. In addition to being spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, we are committed to the lifelong well-being of our animals. During their stay, which can range from days to years, our experienced animal care associates offer our shelter animals extensive training, enrichment, and thorough social assessments.

If you’re looking to gain more than a furever furry best fur-iend, we welcome you to visit our adoption centers Wednesday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Adoption appointments are available Mondays and Tuesdays with a completed online application. Once you’ve adopted a dog or cat at Valley Animal Center, we welcome you back anytime to utilize any one of our many services, which include our low-cost clinic, membership-based dog park and cat club, dog training, and humane education.

We thank all who have adopted from us in the past and look forward to meeting any new potential adopters on this Adopt a Shelter Pet Day! 🐶💕🐱

Valley Animal Center is dedicated to serving animal companions in the Central Valley and beyond. Our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people.
